  • CONDOLENCES. Past president Mahmud Hassain is grieving the sudden and unexpected loss of his dear friend and mentor in Winnipeg, Dr. Alex Basilevsky.  "He was like a father to me," says Mahmud. Our thoughts and compassion go out to you, Mahmud, and also to this wonderful man's family. May his memory comfort you always. Obituary.

"Towards Truth" events in Guelph
September 30th, 2022 marks Canada's second National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. Our club's Indigenous Awareness Committee invites the community to these two free "Towards Truth" events, on September 28th and 29th. Wear your orange shirt if you can. 
 
September 28th, 2022 at The Guelph Museum from 7-9pm.
Guelph artist Eleni Bakopoulos (a member of our Rotary club) will exhibit and chat about her artworks on display. Attendance is FREE - but reserve your spot in advance. 
 
 
September 29th, 2022 at The Bookshelf Cinema, at 2pm and 7pm.
Film screening of the "Inconvenient Indian" inspired the novel by local author, Thomas King. Attendance is FREE, first come first served.
 
 
Official opening of Rotary Link Trail
September 9, 2022.
An uplifting and exciting moment to officially open the beautiful new ROTARY LINK TRAIL!  Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate and walk/bike this fantastic new trail with us off Victoria Road in #Guelph
Film Event - Eradicating Human Trafficking
Rotary is hosting the film "Human Trafficking - Canada's Secret Shame" at the Bookshelf on September 22, 2022 at $6:30pm. Tickets are $10 in advance.  Details on our website here. 
 
 
Lobsterfest 2022 sadly cancelled
It is with deep regret that our Lobsterfest Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel The Rotary Club of Guelph’s 2022 Lobsterfest. 
 
 
    We were very eager to have an in-person event once more, but due to continued COVID issues and concerns, and the importance of keeping everyone healthy in the fall and winter, we felt it appropriate to shutter our traditional Lobsterfest for this year. 
     
    To everyone who so graciously purchased tickets already, we apologize deeply for the inconvenience and will be contacting you individually about ticket reimbursements.
