DON'T MISS THIS SUPER-SPECIAL MEETING:
June 9th will be a long-awaited celebration and presentation. The club's Charitable Foundation (RGC Fund) will be making a significant  donation to The Grove Hubs capital fund. Afterwards, an informative presentation will provide an overview of this amazing Rotary-inspired initiative that began in our very own club and today makes such a big difference for youth in Wellington County and Guelph. It's the perfect time to bring a friend to see the power of Rotary in action. Sign up HERE for June 9th.
 
P.S. We are hoping to see past president Paul Dredge at this June 9th meeting, one of the key players from our club that helped bring this initiative to reality.
 
June 16th will be a jam-packed double program. First we'll hear an interesting presentation from the Guelph Hiking Trail Club, and then President Andrew Johnson will wrap up his Rotary year with highlights from 2022-2023 ... and there were many! Sign up HERE for June 16th. 
 
June 23rd will be a special program marking Indigenous Peoples' month in Canada. Retired professor Gil Stelter will give a fascinating talk about Indigenous history in Guelph. We'll have a special meal with Indigenous touches (a big hit when we tried this idea last year!) and we'll also honour our club's  Indigenous Youth Award recipient for 2023. What a lovely way to round out Rotary year 2022-2023. Sign up HERE for June 23rd.

TOWARDS TRUTH Indigenous Film Festival
This event is put on by your fellow Rotarians so that we may lead the community in the hard work of bearing witness to the stories, the struggle, and the resilience of Indigenous Peoples. Viewing these films is not meant to stir up feelings of guilt, but rather, it is about building bridges of understanding. As Rotarians, it is our mission to “promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace.”

I’d like to personally invite every Rotarian to attend at least one screening this month. I’ll be looking for your familiar faces in the crowd and happy to chat about the films afterward.

Rotarian Ann Caine, our colleague from the Rotary Guelph South Club, and founder of the amazing Sunrise Therapeutic Riding and Learning Centre 41 years ago, invites everyone to the annual "Celebrate Sunrise" fundraising and awareness event at their Puslinch farm on June 25th.
