Coming up this Friday, February 24th is a special meeting to reinvigorate our club's Avenue of VOCATIONAL SERVICE
A meeting not to be missed.
We all join Rotary with a CLASSIFICATION related to our VOCATION - our career, profession, employment - and a wish to give back to our community. A key part of our "Service Above Self" is through our Vocational Service, sharing our experience and expertise to help others.
Barb Holmes will re-introduce us to Rotary's foundational Avenue of Vocational Service, something that sometimes gets overlooked or is perhaps more difficult to visualize.
Barb has invited speakers from the Career & Education Council (CEC) of Guelph Wellington to share some opportunities where we can put our Rotary Vocational Service into practice.
By the way ... the CEC is yet another legacy project of our club. It was originally established by our club members in 1990 as an education / business link to engage, encourage and mentor young people as they looked to their future careers.
We will be hearing from the following CEC members:

Rotary events coming up - mark your calendars (NOTE SOME NEW DATES)
The Secret 3K run/walk, on Wednesday, March 8 at 6:30pm near Guelph's covered bridge. This International Women's Day event, endorsed by Rotary, invites the community to come out and raise awareness about safety for women and girls, for something as simple as going for a run or walk, in Guelph and elsewhere.
