Andrew Johnson presented Lawrie Jones with a PHF+8. Lawrie has been a member of our club for 52 years and says that becoming a Rotarian is still one of the greatest gifts in his life.
Noma Vales shared that the Rotary Club of Maseru in Lesotho has informed her that they are awarding her with an Honourary PHF and will present it to her during her next visit there, on May 27th. Noma has worked tirelessly for many years to improve life for Lesotho citizens and she is deeply moved by this unexpected gesture from the Maseru Rotary Club.
For information ... An Honourary Paul Harris Fellowship award, named after the founder of Rotary, is one of the highest honours that Rotary International can bestow upon a person. CLUB'S VISIONING EXERCISE - TAKING IT TO THE NEXT STEP.
President Brian emphasized that the goal of the initial Visioning Exercise held on March 22, 2025 was to identify the WHAT - what we want our club to be like in five year's time. Brian gave an overview of the key questions that were addressed during the Visioning Exercise and the most-voted suggestions by those present at the Exercise. The process is now moving towards the HOW - how we can achieve the high level goals. Each table at our club meeting was requested to debate a couple of specific club goals and to suggest ideas on HOW these goals might be achieved. The visioning and planning process will continue.
