At last Friday's meeting, Michael Seitz, a retired Air Force Veteran, spoke to the club for a Remembrance Day meeting. Michael spoke about his experience in the military from his recruitment in the air force to the various operations he was apart of in Egypt, India, and Pakistan.

 

Michael recounted how he became a test pilot as well and spoke about the importance of peacekeeping. This year marks the 75th anniversary since the first peacekeeping operation. Michael concluded his talk by commenting on the need for people on both sides of a conflict to try to understand the other's perspective. Without this, Michael noted, conflicts will never be resolved. 

 

Our program this week will be the Annual General Meeting.

The main order of business will be the acceptance of the Financial Statements dated June 30th 2023 that have been approved by the Board of Directors. If you have questions please email President Nanita in advance of the meeting if at all possible so that a response can be prepared for the members in attendance at the meeting.
