IN THIS BULLETIN...
Last Friday, December 15th, was our Christmas Luncheon! We had excellent attendance, with many friends and family as well as past Rotarians and the wives of past Rotarians attending.
Our Vice President, Brian Martin, kicked off the proceedings with a thoughtful speech about the value of the Rotary Club of Guelph and the importance of this time of year.
Then, with a magical entrance, Santa Clause (Paul Taylor) came and read a new story that he and his co-author, who only goes by their initials, A.I., wrote, 'The Night Before Sparkles.' The story captured the excitement that every Rotarian feels in the build up to one of our most celebrated events, 'Sparkles in the Park!' Santa then went table to table to hand out candy and make sure all the Rotarians had been good. Most... made the good list.
After we ate our turkey dinners and had our apple pie desserts, we thanked the ICC staff for the work that they do for us every Friday. As Tracey put it well, our Friday programs wouldn't be able to run without them.
Our festive luncheon concluded with the singing of 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas' led by Irene.
There will be no Bulletin on the 25th, as per Santa's orders, but the Bulletin will be back again on the 1st!
